General Conference ~ October 2, 2016

Buenos días mi querida familia.

Les informo que no voy a escribir hoy en la tarde, ya que es la Conferencia General. :D Mañana como a las 6 o 7 de la tarde, tiempo de Colombia, podré escribirles. Asi que prepárense para mañana! ;)

Les amo mucho! Cuídense y hablamos pronto!

Good afternoon everyone!!! What a spiritual explosion in these two days and wow how fast they went by!

This week has been great. A lot has happened, but nothing really outstanding like Conference. This week I just helped prepare the emergency backpacks to send out to all the missionaries. It was alright. We also have been helping an investigator and his son prepare for baptism and well the sisters in our district have actually been teaching them mostly, we just helped set up the interview and stuff with the zone leaders. Well, the investigator passed the interviews and well on friday Elder Pucha and I went to teach him and his son to help them prepare for their baptism for this next saturday because yesterday was conference. The investigator has a catheter and so he has been saying that he can't be baptized by immersion and so we have been talking to him about John Tanner and lots of things to help him overcome that fear. And well on friday basically the investigator closed up and said he will not be baptized by immersion. He began to tell us that the church needs to be reformist and change things to adapt to the new world. He said that he wants to be baptized with water on his head... Long story short, he began sharing all his doubts about the church and Joseph Smith and everything and we tried and tried to help him but he wouldn't let us share so we practically had to leave... Honestly we don't know how to help him, but we will keep praying and trying to help him really feel and not just understand that these things are true. I know that these things are true and that if one truly has the desire to know and feel, God will give them that answer they need to become converted to Christ, not just to a church.

Anyways, on a happier note! CONFERENCE!!!!! Was LEGIT! :D

OH how I love conference and the Spirit that is felt every session and during all these two days. There were many talks that I loved, but some of them that really stood out to me were by Robert D. Hales on how "If I loved you more, would you hurt less?" and "If we loved the Savior more, would we suffer less?" Then I really loved the talk by President Eyring in the Priesthood Session about showing our confidence in the growing priesthood youth and then by Elder K. Brett Nattress and the story of his mother and "Notwithstanding my imperfections, I was worth saving." and then lastly the talk by Elder Dale G. Renlund about Repentance. I really loved all of the talks, but those ones really hit me and made me ponder a lot of things.

Something that really stood out to me from all the conference is that thought about how it doesn't matter all of our imperfections and mistakes we have made, we are always worth saving. We have our families, those around us, and most especially our God and our Savior who love us so much and will always do all they can to save us.

Well that is all for now! Here's a foto for how we may all be feeling, like how Elder Holland shared last time. ;)

Hasta lueguito!

Hahaha that's funny. Yeah I sent it in Spanish to see if you guys could figure it out. ;) I was hoping you got it too because when I checked my emails later and I saw yours saying that maybe you missed me I felt bad. But yup! Everything is well!

Wow Conference was sooooooo awesome! I loved it so much! Yet I am really sad that it is over again.... It goes by so fast. too fast. Haha I got to watch it in English actually and that was awesome! And yeah I was able to point out Sister Wood and Brother Wood, but I didn't see Leigh. Conference always makes me a little thinking about homish. But wow it was awesome! I'm sure you loved the story by Elder Nattress about the mom. I'm sure you cried in it too haha. ;) Because I did, and I thought that that is probably what you thought and had put that goal about me when I was at home. ;) ;) haha.

Tell Jesse that I love him so much and that I await his first email from the MTC. I have been super excited for him to get out there and work hard. Tell him he'll be great. Tell Diane happy birthday for me as well! And uncle Wil! And all the others when they have birthdays this month.

EVerything will be ok with your surgery on Tuesday. Don't worry. I will be praying for you. Just take care of it properly and it should heal up properly.

Oh yeah! ABout Elder Jorgensen! I have been meaning to ask you about that in these weeks but I keep forgetting. His name is Kayden Jorgensen and he lives in Willard and I believe he is attending the YSa ward where Matt and Bryce went. That would be good to get a hold of him to give you guys that stuff. It's not a lot, but it would be nice so he doesn't forget.

Well tell Dad that everything will be ok and that he shouldn't stress. Things will always be alright.

Well I love you so much! If you have more questions you can ask me! Love you! See you love you bye!
